I've got that feeling back oh yes.

High Dynamic Range photography is the rage these days. For those unaware, it is when we take three photographs of the same setting or object with different exposures and merge them to bring out details with an interesting impact to the overall face of the picture. We then tone map( fiddle with technicalities), to bring out something that would not be possible with just one picture.

There's a lot of criticism about HDR and tone mapping.A lot of photographers look down upon it, like a loudmouth bloke from the northern plains in a library, or flirting at a funeral. You could also compare it to using Nitrous oxide to give your car a temporary boost of speed. It's not cheating when it's a street race....if you get what I mean. A rock guitarist to a classical sitarist, a free style pop locker to ballet............you get my drift.

Anyway, so the following is the FIRST time I've dipped my feet into this pool.....and I think I'm going to be here for a while.

I'd just like to know.......which one you think is the better of them....,,I had to compress them(twice) to get them on here...but yes...let me know.

Cheers :)

I liked,oh yes I did. A lot. I'm a sucker with image processing. I'm going to get a hang of it once I have the time, tho. I had a major Digitizer obsession phase and it frustrated me to ends, thus plan A after boards is to sit for as many hours required and get the drift of it.

Lovely experiment. First one is my favorite, tho :)

2nd one. I like the dull tones in it. First one is nice too, but the theme of the picture doesn't match. 3rd one is too dull.
2nd is a perfect balance. :)

I loved the 1st one!

definitely the first one. A steel grey lock is sombre, yes, but kind of boring.
the first one though is redolent of unknown possibilities, a lock on a mythical garden.
okay, that might have gone a bit too far. but you get the picture (no pun intended). the first one.

I told you on the phone, I don't speak photography, but I actually like the third one more than I like the first two.

Also, "-thegirlwholikesyou-" LOL.
